A Letter From Rita

Dear Friend,

If you sincerely want relief from your pain, I can help. If you have tried everything else and don’t know what to do, I am here for you.

It is time to stop pretending that you’re fine and to start taking care of yourself. It is time to say “Yes!” to relief from physical and emotional pain and to start living a happier and healthier life.

I would like to share a personal story with you about the pain and suffering that I moved through and how this experience has given me the training and insight to invite you to heal, feel good about your self, and start living your life to the fullest.

Several years ago I lost a very small, precious gift. This loss transformed my life forever.

On August 5, 1994, I gave birth to identical twin girls, Julia and Amy. They were born 3½ months prematurely. For babies born this soon, the chances of their surviving and growing up strong and healthy are slim at best.

Both girls were in the intensive care unit. Amy was in the most serious condition: Her kidneys were not cleaning her blood. My life became a nightmare emotional rollercoaster ride of,  “Amy’s going to make it!” and “No, she’s not.” The doctors and nurses did everything they could for her and more. In the end, nothing worked. To make a long, heart-wrenching story short, my baby girl died in my arms after only nine days of life.

Spiritually, I’ve learned and continue to learn amazing things from this little girl. I truly believe that in learning how to die, we learn how to live. I embrace Amy’s painful lessons that have taught me how to live with passion. Don’t get me wrong — I wouldn’t wish this ordeal on anyone. But it did give poignant meaning to the clichés, “Don’t sweat the small stuff,” “Stay focused on what’s really important,” and “Take time to smell the roses.”

Julia’s story was different. My husband, myself, and our two sons lived through some very dark times urgently caring for her, tearfully worrying about her, and hoping against hope that she’d make it. Well, she did make it, and we are eternally grateful for this. She’s our little miracle baby. (Julia is now a happy, healthy teenager with her whole life ahead of her.)

There isn’t a college course, a certification, or a training program that could have taught me what I learned about myself and life through this double ordeal. No text book, no college degree, no amount of titles before or after my name can substitute for this excruciating experience with my daughters. This experience has given me the training and the insight needed to invite people to heal, to feel good about themselves, and to live their lives to the fullest.

I am sharing this story to remind you that healing IS possible. Whether you suffer from emotional or physical pain, financial distress, depression, job tension, weight gain or a general lack in caring—I am here to help you unlock your dreams and start living a life filled with more passion, love, joy and success.
